1199/WorkForce 2000 2014-2015 Program Orientations

Hundreds of 1199 members (parents and prospective students) are currently attending orientation and intake sessions at the 1199 headquarters.

Metro’s NYU WF staff and fieldwork counselors are assisting with these orientations, conducting one-on-one interviews with parents and their young adults, in order to assist them with program component selection and completion of the required forms.

NYU Staff and returning students’ participation in the process help to provide first hand information to new applicants about the positive impact of this program. Many prospective
participants are eager to learn about the Summer Work Internship (SWIP) component, the Pre-RN component and the newly developed Health Career Interdisciplinary component.
